Thursday July 10th - Chris Castle - Chris Castle may be one of the
Midwest’s best kept secrets. His most
recent release in 2007 is his strongest collection of songs yet. Hollow
Bones in Monotone was recorded over Memorial Day weekend of 2007 at
OMNIsound studios in Nashville, using only two acoustic guitars, a few
harmonicas and a ’64 Gibson bass. Its minimalist approach could be
compared to Nick Drake’s Pink Moon, though the songs (and the overall
sound) bring to mind Asylum Records in the early 1970’s.
Folk Alley named Castle their Featured Artist in June. Chris has shared
the stage with some amazing artists, including; the Wood Brothers, Will
Kimbrough, Bob McCarthy, the everybodyfields, Panama Red, Brian
Ashley-Jones, Jeff Black, G.S. Harper and Tommy Womack.

Bill returns for a solo show. If
you missed him last year, don't this time cause he is one of the best
electric guitarists in the world. He is the consumate entertainer and
showman. This guy gets major respect all over the world. Just an
example is that one of England's most famous musicians, Nick Lowe was
the bass player on Bill's last album, 'Hammer of the Honkey Tonk Gods'.
