Selenicereus Grandiflora

Selenicereus Grandiflora more commonly known as a night-flowering or night-blooming cereus. These house plants have been around for centuries. The flowers can be up to a foot long and across. When the flowers bloom at night they release a mild fragrance. They last one night only, then dry up before morning. They are native to the Southwest United States and Mexico.

In early October some friends and I were lucky enough to experience one of these cereus' in action. Many photos were taken , here is one above.
